[title] => [Overview]
[body] => [
... in the beginning ...

It all began with a simple trip.

Three years ago, the Senior Pastor, Gerald, his family and another guy - Luke from Transforming International, Canada went up to the North to investigate if the situation was as bad as it sounded.

They went, saw and realised it wasn't as bad as it sounded - it was WORSE. It is still TERRIBLE up to this very day.

Malnutrition, poverty, disease, war, orphans, ... all rolled up into the same situation. Such a sorry and desperate state.

The visitors' hearts were severely broken. Immediately, they ferried 20 children down to Kampala. They displaced several staff members from their offices and squeezed them into other offices. The offices were turned into homes.

Transforming International, Canada helped to buy the first home where the children are now staying.

Still couldn't sleep.

The urge to do more just could not disappear. So, another trip was made, this time, 42 more children were brought from the worst imaginable situations into the home.

Right now, 62 children are being catered for by Streams of Life Ministries.

... why help a child ...

At Streams of Life Ministries, we believe and know that:

It is the duty of every Christian to cater for society's neglected people.

If we transform a child, we train a future Godly leader and policy maker.

... how do we grow a child ...

The Basic

Each of our little ones lives in a home. In each home is a MOTHER.

The mother is carefully selected. She must be a Christian and a member of the Church. She must be proven in her care for children.

Training

The home is affiliated with a school also run by Streams of Life Ministries.

The school is based on Godly principles and exists to raise children as future Godly leaders.

The school serves the Community's under-privileged and the orphans in our home.

... how can YOU help to support a child ...

At our home and the school, we are frequently facing shortages in all manner of necessities.

So, we say GIVE! Give as you are prompted by the Lord.

Give books, stationery, used clothes, shoes, computers, furniture, land, food ... even money! Give, give, give!

But we insist: whatever you give, give prayerfully!
