... in the beginning ...

In September 1997, Streams of Life Church was born in a small run-down school - now a garage, with 21 church members: 11 adults and 10 kids! Now, Streams of Life is a 1,000 seater church housing different ministries with a vision to change communities across the world. Unbelievable!!

... from the classroom to marijuana ...

After its beginning in 1997, three years later in 2000, the Lord moved Streams of Life from the school to their present location - a marijuana garden in Mengo! The same area was also known as a den of thieves and rapists.

Ignoring all advice and threats saying otherwise, Streams of Life followed the leading of the Lord and stayed in Mengo, cleared the marijuana garden and built a temporary structure.

... from 21 to 1,000, a community transformed...

After setting up the temporary structure, Streams of Life experienced exponential growth as people in the community were transformed by the saving power of Christ. The Streams of Life structure was built, torn down and re-built every three months to accomodate the rapid growth of the church.

... temporary to permanent ...

In 2004, the temporary structure was torn down for a permanent structure which now houses Streams of Life Ministries. More land was acquired to also build Lighthouse Primary School, adjacent to the ministry centre. The school educates the children in the community and builds them up on the Word of God as a foundation.

He is amazing!!

From a classroom to a marijuana garden to an established ministry centre that transforms lives and communities at home and across the world, God has taken us from that classroom where we answered His call to NOW.
